Born January 30, 1989, Jack Vaughn grew up in Canada, where he wrote (and one year later directed) the independent film Cherries & Clover in high school before studying Writing at York University. Despite scoring a GPA in the top 5% of his faculty and producing a full-length movie by 19, Vaughn was twice rejected from the film program allegedly because it already had too many white male students. So he dropped out to move somewhere better suited to his great ambition: Los Angeles.

United States

In Santa Monica, Vaughn finessed a valuable, rent-controlled apartment near the pier. He built a wall to convert the living room to a second bedroom, and sublet the main one out for the whole rent, affording him the privilege to spend all his time studying and working on startups while living with his choice of talented, international actresses and entrepreneurs in one of America's most expensive neighborhoods for free.

Bitcoin & Europe

In 2013, Vaughn was introduced to California's thriving tech scene by his French roommate, John, who would go on to co-found Checkr. While teaching himself software engineering in 2013, Vaughn learned about Bitcoin. Without any savings to invest, he maxxed out five credit cards buying approximately 70, netting 30 times his investment within a few years. He has been travelling around Europe ever since, where he continues his various studies and projects.
