Language Conventions

The standard American defense for speaking plainly is that they don't want to seem pretentious, but most couldn't speak well even if they tried. But then again, neither could most Brits. It's hardly a problem, unless your jobs calls for it, but it's worth noting that many of us choose our manner of speaking intentionally, and it's not always a matter of pedigree or education. So here's my breakdown of some different English accents.
