Family Interference pt. 2
It's not that I don't care about family - it's extremely important to me. So much so, that they were betting it'd be impossible for me to leave them. But many impossible things must happen in this world. (continue)
My Heart Rate
A curious thing: I often get the feeling that someone else may be influencing it.
Orphan pt. 2
Growing up in Canada, I always knew something was wrong, but my attempts to discover what only produced scorn and ostracism. It might seem that I pushed my family away, but actually they distanced me. It was partly financial, but also a way to silence me, as their misdeeds became too great to deny any longer. Mark Twain wrote: "It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble; it’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so." I wonder then if it might've been better to be born an orphan – to be given nothing but every child's natural humility and curiosity to find the right answers, instead of too much praise for regurgitating the wrong ones.
Pure Love pt. 2
Eventually Zombie Liepa begged for another chance (see JL #216) which I technically had to grant due to my policy of always letting people try to make amends, though I was skeptical and it never led anywhere.
The Devil Tarot Card
I do not profess to understand the secrets of the universe, but due to the controversial and often misunderstood nature of this subject, should provide some commentary. The Devil, as I understand it in an astrological and tarot context, may not necessarily be exactly the same figure as the one mentioned in The Bible. To be honest, I find the particulars about Satan and Lucifer a bit confusing (and think even the experts may be lacking consensus). I think that he (or she) is a mysterious figure because it is necessary to do the job, and I wouldn't try to interfere with that. The Devil is not always fun. He or she has a harsh job to do, but conversely, can also reward the deserving. This useful role is different from the other portrayal as an agent of pointless suffering and chaos. I just wanted to make that distinction since the same word is sometimes used for two different things. We should remember that no one zodiac energy is only good or bad — they can be either — depending on how we interact with them.
