One of the reasons I moved to Europe was to get a last-minute authentic experience before they ruined it. I came to Kaunas in 2018 — just before they started gentrifying Laisvės Alėja (Liberty Street). I liked it better before.

It should be no surprise that a country that worships and named their capital after The Devil would suffer corruption. Lithuania certainly has redeeming qualities, but the psychopathy deemed normal here cannot go unmentioned.
